A Better Washington is…

AN INCLUSIVE Washington

Multiracial working-class movements keep democracy alive.

Washington will be a state where all can live and thrive. While rightwing extremists in the U.S. Congress and Supreme Court attack civil liberties and declare war on books, teachers, and librarians, the Washington State House of Representatives must nurture our greatest strength: our diversity. If Washington, D.C. can’t protect the most vulnerable and ensure the survival of quality educational standards, then Washington State will. An inclusive Washington takes three actions:

1. Uphold Public Education

Civics and American History are the pillars our shared future stands on.

2. Reimagine Public Safety

We shall overcome failed ideas about policing and prison.

3. Protect Democracy and Civil Liberties

Washington State will uphold the freedoms that Washington, D.C. won’t.
